Environments
Our Fortes footwear has been designed to protect the wearer within the general environment (low-medium risk) which would include protection against sharp objects protruding the bottom of the sole (within a range with a maximum of 1100N of force), a toecap to withstand 200J of force and an antistatic insole with a voltage range of above 100kΩ and less than or equal to 1000MΩ
Our safety footwear is not designed to be used within the following environments:
- Exposure to extreme heat and humidity – This will cause PU sole hydrolysis.
- Exposure to water for long periods – Exposure to water for long periods of time will cause the bond between the sole and upper to dissipate.
- Exposure to acid – Our PU sole is not acid & alkali resistant, exposure to these substances will cause disintegration of the outer sole.
